School’s Out

About The Program

School's Out aims to help students succeed academically, increase scholarly and extracurricular engagement, improve psychological and social well-being, and increase awareness of, access to, and enrollment in further education after high school. This program provides an inclusive, welcoming setting after school for all teens. We provide college prep programming, access to tutors/mentors, free snacks, free school supplies, and activities such as games, crafts, and service projects. It's a place where students can work on their own or in a group, get help from a tutor, or just hang out after school. School’s Out is offered in both our Avery and Watauga County branches. No registration is required to attend! However, the more advanced notice you give us for tutoring needs, the easier it will be for us to connect you with someone who can help.
