Opportunities for students

JOIN US

Mountain Alliance opportunities are open to any high school age teen in Avery or Watauga County. No need to try out, make a long term commitment, or pay any fee to join. Just be yourself and come give it a try. We are open to anyone. All shapes, sizes, walks of life and personalities are welcome here. If you are a high school age student, you are welcome here.

Need a place to relax after school?  Drop by the after school program in either the Avery High or Watauga High Library. Open Monday through Thursday until 6pm. No need to register, just come by anytime before 6. This is a great place to do homework, work on projects, get some help with school work, find a tutor, play ping pong, or just chill. Free snacks, free school supplies available everyday, and assistance with school work available every day.

Not sure if this is your thing? No worries, we understand. Stop by our room in Avery or Watauga High to check it out and learn more.

WE CAN'T DO IT WITHOUT YOU

Investing in teens is investing in the future leaders of our community. If this is a cause you believe in, there are numerous ways to support Mountain Alliance. We are a highly efficient organization with a unique model for serving teenagers. We have a long history of making a big impact on small budgets. Your contribution will enable transformative experiences and will help change lives.

If every school in the world had a program like MOUNTAIN ALLIANCE we would have fewer ‘things’ to worry about. How amazing to give young adults the opportunity to lead, achieve and participate! THANK YOU for 27 incredible years of GIVING...for the YOUTH!!!
